Saint Joseph Residence Advances Multi-Phase Technology Modernization with 603 Technology Solutions
Completed network transformation creates a resilient, centrally managed foundation for future cloud communications, identity, and security initiatives

Moultonborough, NH - Saint Joseph Residence (Manchester, NH) has completed the first major phase of a multi-phase technology modernization initiative with 603 Technology Solutions. The strategic roadmap is designed to improve reliability, strengthen resiliency, simplify technology management, and prepare the organization for future communications, cloud services, identity, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Rather than pursuing an all-at-once replacement, the project was organized around a phased approach that preserves useful assets while directing investment toward aging or higher-risk systems. Existing six-strand OM2 fiber, U6-PRO wireless infrastructure, T-Mobile Internet failover service, and facility-wide generator capacity were retained and integrated into the modernized environment.

Phase 1 transformed the campus network through a modern Ubiquiti infrastructure platform. The completed work included a redesigned main distribution frame (MDF) and intermediate distribution frame (IDF), five Layer PoE switches, symmetrical 1 Gbps Fidium Fiber connectivity, layered power protection, targeted wireless expansion, and unified wired and wireless management.

The centralized UniFi platform now provides a single operational view across the gateway, switching, wireless access points, clients, topology, device health, internet status, and altering. This consolidated approach improves visibility, supports faster troubleshooting, simplifies administration, and enables a more proactive support model.

Successful implementation also required close coordination among Saint Joseph Residence facilities personnel, surveillance and access control providers, cabling contractors, and 603 Technology Solutions. This collaboration helped keep network, security, cabling, and facility requirements aligned while minimizing disruption to daily operations.

With the network foundation in place, Saint Joseph Residence is positioned for the planned second phase of the modernization roadmap, which will replace its approximately 30-year-old Toshiba telephone system with a cloud-hoisted NUSO communications pattern using Yealink phone hardware. A planned third phase will address Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender Cloud Security, OpenText Managed Detection and Response, enhanced email protection, encrypted email, and DNS security services.

The modernization initiative demonstrates how organizations can address aging infrastructure through a coordinated roadmap that reduces implementation risk, improves investment planning, and creates value at each stage. For 603 Technology Solutions, the project reflects a practical operating principle: preserve what still delivers value, replace what creates risk, and build a foundation that can grow.
