The Homemakers Health Services Welcomes Wesley

The Homemakers Health Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Wesley of Rochester as its new Skilled Team Manager. As the Skilled Team Manager, Wesley will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the operation of services and processes of the Agency’s Skilled Team, assuring the delivery of the highest quality patient care services, monitoring compliance of clinical activities and functions with external regulatory guidelines and for assessing and assuring the quality and accuracy of all Medicare and NonMedicare claims submitted for payment.

“We’re pleased and fortunate to have someone with Joe’s education and significant health care experience to work collaboratively with our Rehabilitative Services Manager and to lead our clinical health team of visiting nurses, home health aides and personal care providers,” says Heidi Morrison, CEO of The Homemakers Health Services. “He will definitely be an asset to our Agency and the people we serve.”

Wesley, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Granite State College in Concord, brings both clinical and business management skills to The Homemakers Health Services. Trained as a Hospital Corpsman with the U.S. Navy and as a Field Medical Technician with the U.S. Marine Corps, Wesley brings to the Agency strong emergency medicine and combat  emergency medicine skills; as well as experience in a variety of settings including occupational health, family practice, pharmacy, laboratory and medical records. Prior to his position with The Homemakers Health Services, Wesley served as a Referral Specialist/Benefits Counselor at the Naval Health Clinic New England in Portsmouth, coordinating the specialty health care needs of active duty military members and their families; and processing and appointing referrals from the Naval Health Clinic to specialists in and out of the military’s TRICARE network. He also served as a Pharmacy Technician at the Naval Health Clinic New England in Portsmouth.

As a former board member and treasurer of St. Johns Community Day School in Wakefield, Wesley oversaw all financial activity for the nonprofit organization, including the preparation of all financial statements, cash flow statements and annual budgets. “I am proud and excited to take up this new challenge, which combines my nonprofit, business management and clinical experience,” says Wesley. Working together with the dedicated support of employees and the Board of Directors, I am confident that The Homemakers Health Services will continue to grow while providing quality, professional and paraprofessional health care services to people in our community.”
