The Homemakers Health Services, in partnership with Frisbie Memorial Hospital, is once again hosting a Senior Fall Health and Wellness Expo for seniors, their families and caregivers on Friday, October 24th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Rochester.

The event, which will feature a Fall/Halloween theme, will showcase more than 60 health and wellness vendors, free breakfast and lunch, free health screenings and giveaways, as well as raffles and prizes.

Believing that taking good care of your health is one of the most important things you can do for your family and loved ones, The Homemakers and Frisbie Memorial Hospital invite all seniors, their family and caregivers to this special day of health and wellness. “As one of the few medical facilities in the region providing geriatric psychiatry services, Frisbie Memorial Hospital is pleased to partner with The Homemakers Health Services to present the Senior Fall Health and Wellness Expo,” says Judy Ouellette, executive director, Fund Development and Community Relations at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. “This opportunity makes it possible to educate seniors, their families and caregivers about the compassionate care and medical expertise of our Geriatric Psychiatry program as well as other community programs and services available.”

This year’s Senior Fall Health and Wellness Expo will showcase more than 60 area organizations and businesses, including community health care providers, hearing and vision specialists, rehabilitation services, insurance and financial planning counselors, assisted living facility representatives and more. The event will also feature a free light breakfast and lunch for those who attend.

“Our mission at The Homemakers Health Services is to provide comprehensive health care and supportive services to enhance the lives of individuals in our community. The goal of this health and wellness fair is to empower seniors, their caregivers and loved ones by providing them with the opportunity to learn about the resources available to them to help them take charge of their health and wellness and be educated health care consumers,” says Linda Nylund, community liaison at The Homemakers.

Last year more than 300 seniors, their caregivers and loved ones attended the Senior Fall Health and Wellness Expo. “Plan not to miss this opportunity to meet with local businesses and organizations that can help improve your lifestyle and achieve your goals for better living. You’ll be able to get a flu shot, meet health specialists, take advantage of free screenings and learn more about healthy living so that you can live your best possible life,” says Nylund. “It will be both informative and fun, and to top it off there will be free give-aways, raffles and prizes!”

Booth sponsorship opportunities and exhibitor spaces are available. As exhibitor space is limited, exhibitors will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis.
