iHeart Media recently held the first annual “Baconfest” with nearly one thousand attendees at Great Bay Community College at the Pease Tradeport. Area restaurants, caterers and bakeries provided attendees with specialty food creations featuring bacon and competed in a culinary contest, presented by Favorite Foods. Rochester’s own Lilac City Grille won Best in Show and the Best Taste award! A portion of Baconfest proceeds were donated to the Triangle Club, a non-profit center for 12-step recover in Dover, and Hope on Haven Hill in Rochester, a non-profit 24-hour licensed residential rehabilitative facility underway for pregnant women in recovery.
