For nearly two years, Anne- along with her father, mother, and sister- joined the Van Daan family and hid in a secret annex space above her father’s former office in Amsterdam as Nazis deported Holland’s Jews to their deaths. In her journey and in this well acted performance, audiences of all ages can witness the transcendence of the human spirit above the greatest evil: human apathy.
