We are seeking skilled and resolute Powersports Technicians to join our dynamic service team. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in Mercury Marine and MerCruiser powered boats, with basic understanding of 12V electrical systems. ‘Should also be capable of fuel systems, and carburetors cleaning. A good understanding of ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various makes and models of powersports equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, suspension, electrical, fuel, and track system issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-season inspections, tune-ups, and winterization services, including oil change
- Read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and wiring diagrams.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs, estimates, and completed work.
- Document all work performed accurately and thoroughly using our dealership management software.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies, models, and service procedures through ongoing training.
The candidate should be knowledgeable in Mercury Marine and MerCruiser powered boats, with basic understanding of 12V electrical systems. ‘Should also be capable of fuel systems, and carburetors cleaning. A good understanding of ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles will be an added advantage.
- Proficient mechanical knowledge with experience in marine systems preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including the use of ohmmeters for diagnostics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Experience using hand tools and calipers for precise measurements and assembly tasks.
- Previous experience as a service technician in the marine industry is highly desirable.
