The information you add here will be read by the parade commentators as your entry approaches the videographer (located in front of the Chamber building); please describe your entry clearly (ex: entry type and details, who is riding/walking, company details, organization's mission, handing out candy, etc). Please be detailed but fairly brief.
To prevent possible disqualification at the parade, applicants must submit in advance as detailed information as possible regarding their entry. This information will be provided to those narrating the parade, which will be video recorded. Floats are expected to enhance the parade theme or recognize the theme in a creative manner. For floats, the name of the organization or company responsible for the float should be visible to the crowd and to the video crew. The Holiday Events Committee reserves the right to disallow any float or entry that is deemed inappropriate for any reason.
All Mobile entries must indicate the number of vehicles that are participating in the parade, as well as descriptions of each. If the number of vehicles changes prior to the parade, please contact the Chamber to update your entry information: 603-332-5080 x:3
All float judging will take place promptly at 2:30 p.m. To allow yourself enough time to be in the line-up by this time, you should plan to arrive by 1:30 p.m. Floats not in the line-up by 2:30 p.m. will forfeit their opportunity to be judged. In addition to the Best of Parade award, Second and Third Place awards will be provided.
The spokesperson/official for your entry, in the event of any problem resulting from participation in this event, agrees to hold harmless any and all officials and workers connected with this project, including the City of Rochester, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and associated groups and individuals. Enter your name to "sign" and indicate that you acknowledge and accept this.
