2027 Educator Of The Year Nomination Form

NOMINATE A TEACHER FOR EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is pleased to begin accepting nominations for the 2027 Annual Awards Celebration. These life-changing nominations show often missed recognition to incredible businesses, non-profits, educators, and citizens in the Greater Rochester Area. The Educator of the Year Award recognizes a local educator that has demonstrated excellence in their profession and has made substantial contributions to their students and community. The 2027 Deadline for this award is Friday, March 12th, 2027.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR

Nominees must be submitted by others. To be eligible, the individual must: Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and a strong commitment to education through their work and interactions with students; Adapt their teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students while creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment; Show creativity and innovation in their approach to teaching to enhance student learning and engagement; Exhibit a commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement in their knowledge and teaching practices; Maintain strong communication and positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support a collaborative educational environment; Be actively involved in their school, community, or extracurricular activities that support the educational mission; Have contributions and achievements that hold current significance, even if those efforts span multiple years. Please note: Previous award recipients are not eligible. This award will not be presented posthumously.

NOMINATION SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Please complete this form and submit it as the cover page of your nomination. Include a separate attachment outlining the Educators distinguished accomplishments and the reasons for their nomination. Supporting documentation must also be included and should highlight: Educator and school information; Impact and contributions to students and the community; Community involvement and engagement; Awards, honors, or recognitions received; Outstanding leadership, commitment, and collaborative efforts; Three (3) letters of recommendation. Please note: Nominations lacking sufficient detail or supporting documentation may not be considered. If a nominee is not selected this year, their nomination will automatically remain under consideration for the following two years.
