They are three legendary singers, songwriters, humorists, musicians, storytellers, authors and producers. And they are friends. They are Tim Sample, Noel Paul Stookey and David Mallett coming together on our stage for a warm, entertaining evening of music, humor, friendly storytelling and banter. The three are friends performing together with a special camaraderie that the audience sees and feels. Premier New England Humorist Tim Sample's work includes albums and videos for the Bert and I Company, TV specials and over a dozen books. Sample's first album of Down East Humor was produced and recorded by friend Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary fame. Stookey was the cut-up of the folk trio, telling stories and jokes between songs. He went on to perform solo and produce children's music and television. Stookey also produced the first three albums of singer/songwriter David Mallett, author of the folk standard The Garden Song. Friend Tim Sample recently inducted Mallett into the Maine Music Hall of Fame. Sample, Stookey and Mallett mix up a little story-telling, a little humor and a little music to present you with a big evening of unique entertainment. After you fill up on your Turkey Day meal on Thursday, join Tim, Paul and David on Friday for some Left Over Turkey, a special New England Sampler. *Cash bar. *Patrons under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by an adult.
