Each one of us must play a role in the solution to the opioid epidemic in the area. Everyone is urged to come learn about how you can be a catalyst for drug prevention in the community. Business professionals take special note that this issue cuts deep into organizations.
With some of the highest substance use rates in the country, all New Hampshire businesses are bearing the cost of substance abuse. PolEcon Research (2012) estimates that the NH economy lost $756.5 million dollars in 2011 due to decreased worker productivity as a result of alcohol abuse alone. Substance abusers in the workplace yield lower productivity, high turnover, and increased premiums.
