Mack Barber Joins Daystar Team

Seasoned executive brings expertise in business development, process implementation, and consulting
 
June 15, 2021 – Daystar, a managed IT services provider, today announced that Mack Barber has joined its team of IT professionals to meet the increasing technology needs of businesses across New Hampshire, northern Massachusetts, and southern Maine. Mack’s focus will be on helping organizations address business challenges with technology solutions and managed IT support. He will lead Daystar’s new business development efforts.

Mack has over thirty years’ experience in an executive capacity in defense and commercial related industries, and twenty years of senior leadership in business development in technology markets. In addition, he has strong experience in manufacturing of technology both domestically and internationally. He has held the position of chief executive in five technology companies in the US and UK.
 
Most recently, Mack served as the CEO of SFT Global, a technology startup in the Boston area focused on technology related to the baby boomer generation. Prior to this he was the CEO for iXblue Defense Systems, Inc. in Lincoln, RI, responsible for expanding the commercial-based French parent into the defense markets. During 2019, the operation grew by 40%. iXblue is a world leader in providing high technology navigation and positioning systems.
 
Prior to this role, he was the President/CEO of HDT Expeditionary Systems, the largest producer of rapidly deployable defense and homeland security shelter systems in the industry. Mack was responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth plan centered around international market expansion.
 
Mack is the former president and CEO of REMOTEC, Inc. a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman, the world's leader in providing Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) for use in hazardous-duty operations. Under his leadership, REMOTEC quadrupled its growth, and has delivered more than 2,000 robotic vehicles worldwide.
 
Mack holds a BA degree in Natural Sciences from the University of South Florida, and an
MBA degree from Loyola University of Maryland.
