In a show of commitment to community growth and revitalization, Cinco’s Cantina, a local, family owned Mexican restaurant with locations in Rochester, Dover, and Epping, donated $1,000 to the Rochester Main Street Program. This contribution will directly support the program's initiatives to enhance downtown development, preserve local heritage, and boost small businesses in the area.
The donation comes from a portion of the sales earned during Cinco’s soft opening celebration at the new Rochester location, held on August 30, 2024. The event invited friends and family in to dine to allow the restaurant to test its operations, menu, customer service, and atmosphere with a limited number of guests.
“We want to start our journey in Rochester by giving back to the community right from the beginning,” said Crescencio Tellez, co-founder and co-owner of Cinco’s Cantina. The funds from the donation are earmarked to help other downtown businesses to make facade improvements. “Partnering with the Rochester Main Street allows us to contribute to projects that make Rochester downtown more vibrant and prosperous for everyone,” continued Tellez.
The donation exemplifies the restaurant’s belief in building stronger communities through collaboration and giving back. With initiatives like these, both Cinco’s and Rochester Main Street are working together to create a more dynamic and welcoming environment in downtown Rochester.
“Support from local businesses like Cinco’s is crucial to our success,” said Jeff Bisson, Rochester Main Street Representative. “This generous gift will allow us to continue improving our downtown area, making it a place where businesses thrive and residents feel proud to call home.”
