DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to attend a public informational discussion about the proposed Rochester Recovery Community Center (RRCC). \n\n\n\nThe RRCC is an initiative of a partnership between Frisbie Memorial Hospital\, the Rochester Police Department\, SOS Recovery Community Organization\, and several other local and regional allies in response to the opioid crisis facing Rochester and our surrounding communities.\n\n \n\nThe mission of the RRCC is to reduce stigma and harm associated with addictive disorders by providing a range of peer-based supports with trained volunteers for people in all stages of recovery. The RRCC will serve as the organizing hub of these efforts for the Greater Rochester area.\n\n \n\nThe RRCC will provide a combination of informational\, instrumental and social supports designed to be responsive to a range of needs from early recovery to long-term sustained recovery. RRCC is not a drop-in center. All activities at the RRCC are structured to meet the mission and intended objectives of the RRCC\, including:  Peer-led recovery meetings\; Recovery Coaching\; Trainings\; Life Skills Development\; Workshops\; Computer Access\; Health Services Referrals\; Crisis and Rapid Recovery Responders\; Telephone and Text Support\, and more.\n\n\n\nCome learn more\, ask questions and share ideas for bringing the gift of recovery to more of our neighbors in Rochester.
