DESCRIPTION:This American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid course will teach participants how to recognize and help victims of medical and environmental emergencies and what to do if someone is injured. Subjects covered include\, but are not limited to\, allergic reactions\, heart attack\, stroke\, seizures\, breathing problems\, diabetes\, bleeding\, bites and stings\, heat and cold emergencies\, head\, neck and spinal injuries and more. This course has been updated for the new 2016 Guidelines. Participants who successfully complete the course will earn their Heartsaver First Aid certification card which is valid for 2 years. This course includes limited hands-on skills practice. Preregistration is required.
