In recognition of the need to continue promoting choral singing outside of the classroom, Granite State Choral Society is excited to announce that various businesses and private donors have committed to support GSCS’s Youth Scholarship Fund.  These individuals raised $3000 specifically for any youth, age 12 to 22, wishing to participate.

Applications are being accepted for GSCS’s 2017 – 2018 Choral Season.  If you are a student, age 12 to 22, you can apply now for a Youth Scholarship towards the cost of dues, music, and concert attire.

Additionally, with grant support from The Parker Nelson Foundation and The Saul O. Sidore Memorial Foundation, GSCS will be creating a workshop designed for the classroom using their recently commissioned cantata “Rochester” as the cornerstone.  Choral music will be used to bring to life Rochester’s rich history through song.  The intent is educating youth not only of their town, but how community singing keeps history alive through oral tradition.

For more information on how to apply for a scholarship or donate or become involved in the workshop, please visit www.gschoralsociety.org
