Studio 109 Dance, Voice & Drama is pleased to offer a full summer line up of dance classes, workshops and exercise classes.
New this summer is a Chinese folk dancing class taught by Lanmei “Melanie” Fu. Visa permitting, Melanie will be visiting the United States from China and will be teaching the native Chinese folk dancing at the studio. Classes will begin on July 7 and will occur weekly throughout the summer on Monday nights. Pre-registration is required. Contact the studio to register.
Also on Monday nights beginning July 7 and running throughout the summer, Studio 109 will offer several Zumba® classes. At 4pm, the studio will offer a Zumba® Parent/Child class, designed for families to dance, shake and wiggle together. At 5pm, children will enjoy a Zumba® Kids program - the ultimate dance-fitness party for young Zumba® fans ages 7-11. Kids can play it loud and rock with friends! And at 6pm, it’s Zumba® for adults where participants will get lost in the music rhythms of high-energy Latin beats.
Studio 109 also offers a fun-filled Summer Camp the week of July 14-18 that will include plenty of dancing, singing and acting. There are two age groups offered – 4 to 6 year olds from 9am to noon, and 7-13 year olds 9am to 4pm. Camp members take classes in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, street jazz, drama & vocal. In August, Studio 109 welcomes Flow 40 for a 3-day workshop August 6-8. From Los Angeles, the Flow 40 team will bring their top-quality dance workshop to Gonic, NH, exposing students to a variety of styles aimed at making a dancer stronger on and off the dance floor. The Flow 40 workshop at Studio 109 will offer a variety of levels - petite (serious dancers 10 and under), intermediate and advanced dancers. The cost for the 3-day workshop is $325 for intermediate and advanced dancers (4 classes for each of the 3 days) and $75 for petites (1 class per day).
