Twelve Angry Jurors is a heightened courtroom thriller that puts you on the edge of your seat while powerfully exploring what it means to live in a democracy.

On a hot summer day after a long trial, a jury must decide whether a 16-year-old man is guilty of murdering his father.  The jury votes 11-1 that the man is guilty of the crime, but laws in the United States require a unanimous vote by all 12 jurors in order to pass judgment.  Tempers flare as the eleven jurors try their best to convince the 1 dissenter to come around to their side.  As the evidence is re-examined, however, new uncertainties come to light, forcing everyone to truly question if there is in fact some measure of "reasonable doubt".

Twelve Angry Jurors is a play by Reginald Rose adapted from his 1954 teleplay of the same title for the CBS Studio One anthology television series. Staged in a 1964 London production, the Broadway debut came 50 years after CBS aired the play.

The Rochester Opera House adaptation is directed by Scott Severance and features an incredible cast of emerging and seasoned actors.

Tickets start at $14.  Reserve tickets online or call the box office (603) 335-1992, M/W/F from 10-5pm and 2-hours before the show.  The Rochester Opera House is sponsored by TD Bank North, Eastern Propane, Shaheen & Gordon P.A., and Norm Vetter Foundations.  The Rochester Opera House is located in City Hall, 31 Wakefield Street, Rochester NH.  Visit www.RochesterOperaHouse.com for more information.
