ROCHESTER — The Rochester Opera House will be hosting a “Hands-On Jeep” endurance contest and fundraiser on the weekend of June 10, 2017.
This is the first year the Rochester Opera House will host a Hands-On contest, in which registered contestants must stay in physical contact with the prized vehicle until only one remains. The winner will walk away with a brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, courtesy Poulin Auto Country.
The event, held at the Governor’s Inn, will be a weekend long celebration with music, barbecue, craft beers, complimentary food for contestants, and more. The public is encouraged to attend and cheer on the contestants as they attempt to outlast one another.
Contestants can enter the contest at the Box Office in the Rochester City Hall. The entry fee is $1000 with at least a $200 non-refundable deposit. Contestants must be at least 18-years or older with a valid driver’s license. Official contest rules and registration packets are available at the box office and www.RochesterOperaHouse.com. Funds raised from this event will directly support the new downtown Performance & Arts Center slated to open summer of 2017.
