Rochester Main Street presented the 3rd annual Blues Festival last Saturday as the smells of BBQ drifted along North Main Street. In addition to the toe-tapping music, guests who purchased sampling buttons were able to sample the BBQ offerings of participating local eateries. Sponsored by Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, PA, the contest also allowed voting for a Peoples Choice Award for Best BBQ.Pictured here sporting their plaques are the winners of Best Brisket Dale Raymond and Mark Macchioni-Revolution Taproom & Grill (opening late August or early September), Happy Pappy’s Country Store, Best Chicken and People’s Choice Award- Chef Matt from Lilac City Grille, Best Ribs-Chef Lucas from The Garage at The Governor’s Inn, and Best Pulled Pork-Chef Jeff Bisson from Happy Pappy’s Country Store. Presenting the awards was on behalf of sponsor Leone McDonnell & Roberts, PA was Rochester Main Street Board Member Sue Roy with Rochester Main Street Executive Director Michael Provost.
