Bank of New Hampshire’s Prestige Plus members were treated to a trip of a lifetime as they toured the amazing country of Italy.  Some of the highlights included: Rome, Ruins of Pompeii, Sorrento Coast, Isle of Capri, Florence, Statue of David, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Venice and Murano Island.

The visit to Rome was impressive as they visited Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forum, the Circus Maximus and the Arch of Constantine.  During their in-depth visit to the Colosseum, the guide recounted its rich history to Prestige Plus members. No visit to Rome would be complete without a visit to the Vatican Museums, home to one of the world’s greatest collections of art and the world-famous Sistine Chapel.

Prestige Plus members were moved beyond words during our visit to Pompeii, a city frozen in time. The excavated ruins of Pompeii were remarkably preserved and provided a fascinating look at the daily life of an ancient Roman city.

A trip highlight was a scenic boat ride to the enchanting Isle of Capri. Upon arrival, Prestige Plus members took a panoramic ride to the island’s highest town, Anacapri. They enjoyed their time in Capri with its world-famous piazzetta and explored the paradise island of chic boutiques, lush vegetation and outdoor cafés before returning to the Sorrento Coast.

Tuscany’s vista of vineyards and olive groves unfolded around every turn as they enjoyed the scenic drive to Florence, the “Cradle of the Italian Renaissance,” offering Italy's best art and architecture. Their visit to the Academy Gallery to see Michelangelo’s magnificent sculpture of David was impressive.

They ended their tour of Italy in the resort town of Stresa, located in the breathtaking Italian Lakes District.

“We plan all of our trips months in advance and customize them to meet the needs of our valued Prestige Plus members,” stated Valerie Drouin, SVP – Prestige Plus Manager for Bank of New Hampshire. “With 24 years of experience in the bank travel industry, our customers know when they sign up for one of our trips, that the quality will be unsurpassed. We plan and arrange these trips as a way to thank our members for banking at Bank of New Hampshire. As with most of our overnight extended trips, this trip sold out on the day it was announced.”
