Bank of New Hampshire’s Prestige Plus members recently returned from a 15-day cruise through “The Best of the Baltics” onboard Celebrity Cruise ship Constellation. Among the countries and cities visited were: Warnemunde and Berlin, Germany; Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; and Copenhagen, Denmark.

The tour began in Amsterdam, Netherlands where Prestige Plus members enjoyed a canal cruise and historic city sightseeing tour before boarding the Celebrity Constellation.

The first stop on the amazing trip was in Warnemunde, Germany allowing members to participate in an excursion to Berlin where they visited the Berlin Wall, check point Charlie and many other historic landmarks and museums.

Cruising into Stockholm, Sweden was a magnificent sight as they passed thousands of natural uninhabited islands en route to the city. Upon arrival, many Prestige Plus members visited one of the most popular museums in Stockholm, the Vasamuseet. The world’s oldest known intact ship, the Vasa, which was built in 1628 with two gun decks, 64 cannons and 700 ornate sculptures, resides at the museum.

The next stop was Helsinki, Finland where members strolled down the beautiful tree-lined streets and enjoyed the stunning neo-classical designed architecture in Senate Square.

One impressive look at St. Petersburg’s regal palaces, onion domed churches and vast public squares proved a highlight for many and showed that this city is truly in a class of its own.

Tallinn, Estonia proved is a fairytale setting with its cobblestone streets and pastel-hued houses. Prestige Plus members learned of this city’s heroic and often challenging history which took place from the period between 1940 and 1991 when the Estonian Republic was occupied by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.

The final port visited on the trip was Copenhagen, Denmark. Prestige Plus members had a chance to visit Amalienborg Palace which is considered to be one of the greatest works of Danish Rococco architecture and was constructed in the 1700’s. Other members took the opportunity to go off the beaten path to Dragor, a quiet seaside village that has retained its character of an old fishing port with well-preserved historical buildings and friendly residents.

“We plan all of our trips months in advance and customize them to meet the needs of our valued Prestige Plus members,” stated Valerie Drouin, SVP – Prestige Plus Manager for Bank of New Hampshire. “With 25 years of experience in the bank travel industry, our customers know when they sign up for a trip, the quality will be unsurpassed.
