Upala Yoga & Wellness Arts and the Rochester Police Department are proud to host Rochester's Community Leader Yoga for Kids -- the 3rd Saturday of every month.
What is Community Leader Yoga?
It’s a chance for our youth to participate in a yoga session led by Upala Yoga alongside the leaders in our community. Our featured community leader of the month participates in the class along with our youth (grades K-6) and then leading a couple of fun games for the kids. The goal of Community Leader Yoga is to increase the bonds between our youth and community leaders.
Practicing yoga gives our youth the tools to slow-down & be healthy in a nonjudgmental space! Yoga helps teach youth how to process emotions, be mindful and patient, increase executive function and attention, increase physical flexibility and strength all while calming mind & body.
Parents are welcome to stay and watch or practice along with your kids (space permitting)!
At the end, she will get to talk about their role in the community and answer questions.
Space is limited to 13 kids — please register your child to confirm their spot!
