DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the kick off to the holiday season downtown Rochester!\n\nJoin the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce as they present the 5th annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony\, underwritten by Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Watch as the magical downtown tree is lit for the first time for the 2015 holiday season. Those who attend will also enjoy many other festivities throughout the evening.\n\n\n\nActivities and Happenings Downtown To-Date Include:\n\nA reading of "T'was the Night Before Christmas" by Mayor TJ Jean\n\nCookie Decorating at the Chamber Office courtesy of Rochester Child Care Center\n\nDance Performances by Studio 109 Dance\, Voice & Drama\n\nHot Chocolate and cookies provided by Citizens Bank\n\nNativity Scene Photo Booth courtesy of The Commons Church\n\nCaroling provided by the Frisbie Memorial Hospital Carolers\n\nAnd of course\, a very special visit from Santa at Federal Savings Bank\n\n \n\nIn conjunction with the Holiday Tree Lighting\, a collection of children's items for the\n\nHomeless Center for Strafford County will be conducted!\n\nSponsored By:\n\n\n\nItems to be donated are:\n\nSmall Stuffed Animals\,\n\nNew books (for ages 8-17)\,\n\nNew Puzzles (for ages 12+)\, and\n\nPaper Towels.\n\nThese items can be dropped off at the Holiday Tree Lighting event or items can be brought to Service Credit Union branches in Rochester located at 90 South Main Street and 116 Farmington Road (Inside Walmart) or the Chamber of Commerce office through December 18\, 2015.\n\n\n\nDowntown merchants will also be offering discounts and promotions beginning Friday\, December 4th through Friday\, December 11th\, 2015!\n\n\n\nParticipating merchants to-date include:\n\nThe Cast & Grind Coffee Shop - Adults can buy one any size coffee\, receive one free\; $1 hot chocolate for children 12 years of age and under\;\n\nDave's Tri-City Towing - Receive $30 off any vehicle alignment\;\n\nLaurel Mae's Cottage - Receive a free spa product with your purchase\;\n\nOneMain Financial - All approved loans during the week of December 4 December 11 from $1\,500 $15\,000\, make no payments until January\, 2016\;\n\nRiverStones Custom Framing - $10 off for every $50 spent on custom framing (up to a total $50 discount)\;\n\nSkele-tone Records & Clothing - 20% off records $10+\; 80% off women's clothing\; 20% off shirts and kid's clothing\; 10% off Jackets\; CDs & Tapes are buy 3\, get 4th free\;\n\nTanya Lee Hervey Photography - Book your 2016 session during the week of December 4 - December 11 and receive a complimentary 11 x 14 traditional wall portrait \n\n\n\nFor more information on the Holiday Tree Lighting\, please contact the Chamber office at 603-332-5080 or email events@rochesternh.org.
